When It's Time to Change
Your reaction to that word depends on a lot of things – your current mood, how your day is going, your values, whether you were picked on in high school, your tolerance for risk, etc.
The how (much) and why of different matters too. Change for the sake of change isn’t helpful, nor is changing everything simultaneously.
But thoughtful change, change that stems from careful consideration of what you’re trying to do and how it’s working, leads to different that is better.
Community Research Partners, both staff and Board, have spent the last year talking about what we’re trying to do and evaluating how well it’s working. We’ve gotten feedback from current and former clients, community leaders, and collaborators (thank you!). We’ve revisited our mission, considered the world around us, and listened to wise counsel.
And we’ve decided to try something a little different.
Our mission is the same – to strengthen communities through data, information, and knowledge. We’ve got the same great founding partners, the same thoughtful Board of Trustees, and the same talented staff doing high quality work for our amazing clients.
And. As we consider our future, we know that we need to make some changes. We need to get the word out about who we are, what we do, and our commitment to helping our clients get the answers they need to achieve their respective missions. We need to make our research easier to understand, our reports more accessible to a broader range of people, and our data more widely available.
We’re in the final stages of planning; we’ll share details in August.
Things are going to be different. We hope you’ll join us for the next part of our adventure.
